Go to the car ferry landing on the main road, not the passenger boat pier: between Monday 2 November 2026 and Sunday 14 March 2027 there are 24 ferries a day from Cadenabbia to Bellagio, between 05:50 and 21:55 Monday to Saturday and between 06:55 and 21:45 on Sundays and holidays. Coming back, the first weekday boat leaves Bellagio at 05:40 and the last at 21:40; on Sundays and holidays they run from 07:05 to 21:30.
Allow ten minutes on the water and €5.50 for a walk-on adult ticket. Drive on with a car shorter than 3.5 m and the fare is €10.10, driver included. Unlike the crossings that touch Varenna or Menaggio, this one starts the winter without any notice of pier works.

Navigazione Lago di Como winter timetable, valid 2 November 2026 to 14 March 2027. Christmas Day 2026 and New Year's Day 2027 have a reduced service with separate times. Checked 30 October 2026. Navigazione Lago di Como – Lake Como winter timetable 02/11/2026 – 14/03/2027 (PDF) · 2026-10-30
Ten minutes, stage-three prices
The crossing is short but it is priced like the longer mid-lake ferries: Cadenabbia and Bellagio are three fare stages apart, which puts an adult on foot at €5.50 and children between four and eleven at €2.80. A return is charged as two singles.
Drivers pay by car length, and the usual price includes the driver: €10.10 up to 3.5 m. The operator also lists a cheaper vehicle-only price, €4.60 for the same car, but that only applies if the driver already holds another valid ticket such as a season pass. Most visitors with a hire car will pay the driver-included fare.

Main road in Cadenabbia, lakefront promenade in Bellagio
In both places the car ferry has its own landing, separate from the passenger boats, and tickets show it with the word Traghetto in brackets. Any pier works, with their dates and the sailings affected, are posted in Navigazione Laghi's notices.
Cadenabbia – car ferry landing
The ferry leaves from the landing on the main lakeside road, the SS340 Regina, named "Cadenabbia (Traghetto)" by the operator and separate from the passenger boat pier. ASF line C110 buses stop on the same road at Cadenabbia – Via Regina 9, G. Hotel Cadenabbia and Majolica.
Bellagio – car ferry landing
You arrive on Lungo Lario Manzoni. Passenger boats and fast services on the Como–Colico line use the other pier in Piazza Mazzini. Both positions are from OpenStreetMap.
From Griante to the tip of the Bellagio headland
Cadenabbia belongs to the municipality of Griante on the western shore, in the province of Como. Bellagio faces it from the point of its headland, in the same province. The winter leaflet allows 10 minutes for the crossing in either direction, every day.
Tips for crossing from Cadenabbia
- Head for the ferry landing
In the winter leaflet Cadenabbia appears only in the car ferry tables, not in those for the Como–Colico passenger boats. In Bellagio the passenger boats use Piazza Mazzini instead.
- Hire cars welcome
Every sailing in this timetable takes vehicles. Cars are charged by length, and the limits are 4 m in height and 400 quintals (40 tonnes) in gross weight.
- Tap to pay on board
Adults travelling on foot can pay through NaviTap with a contactless bank card or a phone wallet, tapping in and out. Children's tickets, bikes and cars need a ticket from the office.
- Buses at both ends
Cadenabbia is on ASF line C110 between Como, Menaggio and Colico. Bellagio has C130 to Como and C136 to Asso.
- One free bag
Each passenger may bring one bag free of charge up to 60 cm on its longest side and 40 litres; further bags are paid for.
- Twenty minutes early
The operator advises getting to the ticket desk some 20 minutes ahead of the sailing. Wind or high waves can cancel sailings; the freephone 800 551801 has updates.
Carrying on to Varenna or Menaggio
A handful of sailings from Cadenabbia continue past Bellagio to Varenna, taking 30 minutes: the 20:45 on weekdays and the 07:20, 07:45 and 20:35 on Sundays and holidays. The weekday 07:00 and 07:50 follow the same route but carry foot passengers only, as does the 05:50, which goes via Menaggio instead. For the full set of times to the eastern shore, see the Varenna–Bellagio ferry page.
Menaggio, further north on the same shore, is on the C110 bus route; from there the Varenna–Menaggio ferry crosses the lake directly. For five days at the start of November (Monday 2 to Friday 6), though, vehicles cannot board or leave that ferry at Menaggio.
Cadenabbia – Bellagio ferry: what visitors ask
What time is the first ferry from Bellagio to Cadenabbia?
05:40 from Monday to Saturday and 07:05 on Sundays and holidays. From Cadenabbia the first weekday boat leaves at 05:50.
Is there a ferry after half past nine at night?
On weekdays, yes: 21:40 from Bellagio and 21:55 from Cadenabbia. On Sundays the last boats are at 21:30 and 21:45.
Are there fewer sailings on Sundays?
Not on this crossing. There are 24 each way on Sundays and holidays too; only the times change. The exceptions are 25 December and 1 January, when a reduced service runs.
How much is it with a camper van?
€18.50 one way including the driver. Vehicles must be no more than 4 m high.
Why does the fare table show €4.60 for a car?
That is the vehicle-only price, for when the driver already has another valid ticket. Without one, the same small car costs €10.10 with the driver counted in.
Can I go straight from Cadenabbia to Varenna?
On some sailings, yes, via Bellagio in half an hour: the 20:45 on weekdays and the 07:20, 07:45 and 20:35 on Sundays and holidays. The weekday 07:00 and 07:50 do the same trip for foot passengers only.
Where can I check for works at these piers?
In Navigazione Laghi's notices, which give the pier, the dates and the sailings affected, or on freephone 800 551801. The autumn 2026 notices include works at the Varenna and Menaggio ferry piers.
