Look at the day of the week first: on the Liberty Lines hydrofoils between Trapani and Favignana, in service since 12 October 2026, Sunday has a timetable of its own. Monday to Saturday there are 11 sailings each way, from Trapani between 06:50 and 19:30 and from Favignana between 07:10 and 20:20; on Sundays there are 9, and the first boat from Trapani leaves at 07:50.

Buy your ticket for one specific sailing, because it is not valid on any other, and allow 30 to 40 minutes on the water. You will only see the fare in the booking system, and it already includes the €2.50 landing fee that Favignana charges visitors arriving on the island.

What you pay: the price is in the booking system, the island fee comes with it

There is no fixed fare list to quote for this crossing: Liberty Lines sends you to its booking system, where the price varies from one sailing to the next. The amount shown there already includes VAT, any supplements, port dues, one piece of luggage and Favignana's landing fee, so nothing more is collected on arrival.

That landing fee is normally €2.50 per passenger going to Favignana, and the council may raise it each year for June to September, up to €5.00. Children up to 12 are among those exempt. On the hydrofoil itself, children under 4 travel free without a seat of their own and children aged 4 to 11 get a reduction.

Liberty Lines tickets are personal and valid only for the sailing printed on them.

Liberty Lines publishes no fare table for this route; prices appear per sailing in its booking system. Landing fee from the Favignana council regulation. Checked 30 October 2026.   Liberty Lines – FAQ, what the ticket price includes · 2026-10-30

Via Ammiraglio Staiti in Trapani, San Leonardo on the island

Liberty Lines ground staff check you in on the quay before boarding: have your ticket ready, on paper or on your phone, plus valid photo ID. Passengers who have booked reduced-mobility assistance should arrive at least 30 minutes before departure.

Across to the largest of the Egadi Islands

Favignana lies west of Trapani and, together with Levanzo and Marettimo, makes up the municipality of Favignana. Liberty Lines' booking system lists 30 minutes for direct crossings and 40 for the rest, including the 06:50 via Levanzo, so check the journey time of your own sailing when you buy.

Tips for a day trip or a longer stay on Favignana

The Siremar car ferry and the other Egadi islands

Hydrofoils are not the only link. Caronte & Tourist Isole Minori – Siremar runs the Egadi car ferry, which the company describes as the only way to bring a car or motorbike to the islands. Siremar belongs to the Caronte & Tourist group, which also runs the Strait of Messina ferries from Villa San Giovanni; the Siremar timetable is issued month by month, so check the company's site for the month you plan to travel. Caronte & Tourist also notes that Segesta Autolinee bus SE01 terminates at Trapani port, a minute's walk from the ferry berth.

From the same quay on Via Staiti the Liberty Lines hydrofoils continue to Levanzo and Marettimo, some with a change at Favignana. Those two islands charge a normal landing fee of €1.50, and nothing is due when you hop between the islands.

20:20, every day including Sundays. The last departure from Trapani to Favignana is at 19:30.

Is there an early boat on Sunday mornings?

On Sundays the first boat leaves Trapani at 07:50. From Monday to Saturday the first one leaves at 06:50 and calls at Levanzo on the way.

Do I have to pay a tourist tax when I arrive on Favignana?

Not separately. The island's landing fee, normally €2.50, is included in the Liberty Lines ticket price along with port dues. Children up to 12 are exempt.

The ticket is personal and valid only for the sailing shown. Any change is subject to the company's own conditions; customer care is on +39 0923 022 022.

One free piece of hand luggage up to 10 kg and 60×40×20 cm. Every extra bag needs a luggage ticket.

Not on the hydrofoil, which carries passengers only. Vehicles go on the Caronte & Tourist Isole Minori – Siremar ferry, which publishes a monthly timetable.

Which timetable applies on a bank holiday such as 8 December?

The PDF only distinguishes Monday-to-Saturday and Sunday sailings and does not mention public holidays, so check with the ticket office about midweek holidays.
